  • Hands foreward

  • Decide going low - ball at front foot

  • Decide going high - ball at back foot

!! Never between feet, does not work

Chippen

  • Gewicht immer auf dem vorderen Fuß

  • Hände müssen vor dem Ball sein

  • Flacher Chip - Ball auf dem vorderen Fuß

  • Hoher Chip - Ball auf dem hinteren Fuß

!! Ball niemals zwischen den Füßen, funktioniert nicht.

Phil Mickleson Secrets Of The Short Game-Part 1
Putting
- Section

  • General principles of putting

1) Go staight back and staight foreward

2) Your eyes should be underneath the ball and behind to see the line
3) Ball position to get 4° loft for the optimum roll

  • The Stroke

1) Your hands have to continue to the target

2) You want your arm and putter to travel at the same speed and to continue at the target line
3) 3 things to square face

a) A heelshafted putter
b) Strengthen your grip
c) Move ball slightly forward in stance

4) Slight foreward press
5) Aiming the putter, alignment in impackt
6) Reading green, getting target line, controlling the speed

  • Basic Putting Concept

1) 3 foot circle drill

a) 25% to 75%

2) 6 foot circle drill
3) Reading the putt
4) Long putts 40, 50, 60 foot putting drill

a) Backstroke Length make variable
b) Amount of energy used going foreward should be constant

Chipping- Section

  • Basic Chip Shot "Hinge & Hold Method"

1) Break wrists immidiately going back
2) Hold / accelerate going thru
3) Continue hands toward hole

4) Keep leading edge and bounce the same

5) Arm and club form staight line to the finish
6) Arm and club move at same speed

  • Bring ball in softer

1) First methode

a) Open face and add loft
b) Open stance until face is aimed at target

c) then re.grip it

2) Second methode

a) Put weight forward
b) Move ball iractionally forward
c) Open face
d) Align body so that face is aimed to target

e) then re-grip it

3) Third methode

a) Hit fat like a bunker shot
b) Open face
c) Come in steeper, drive the club in behind the ball
d) Move ball foreward
e) Weight foreward
f) Use more force in your swing

  • "Hinge & Hold" and Lob Shot - Faults and Cures

1) Club head not open enough
2) Don't cut across like a "cut" shot
3) Keep hands ahead of club

  • Low running shots

1) Cange club to less loft
2) Cange ball position back to increase loft

  • Putting from the Fairway

1) Read the fairway not the green

  • Playing from the Rough

1) Ball sitting down

a) Use "Hinge&Hold"
b) Move weight foreward
c) Open face, a
lign body so that face is aimed to target
d) ReGrip it, drive club in the ground behind the ball

2) Ball sitting up

a) Use "Hinge&Hold"
b) Open face half way

3) Running shot

a) Club enters ground behind the ball
b) Move ball back in stance
c) Square club face

  • Longer Chip shots

Just the same as the shortnshot except backstroke Length made variable

Putten

b) Festeren Putter Griff
c) Ball Stellung näher zum vorderen Fuß

4) Leichten Vorhalt einstellen
5
) Putter ausrichten im Treffmoment
6
) Grün lesen und Ziellinie bestimmen, Geschwindigkeit einstellen

  • Allgemeine Grundsätze des Puttens

1) 90 cm Kreis Übung

a) 25% Ausholen zu 75% Durchschwung

2) 1,8 m Kreis Übung
3) Grüns lesen, Puttlinie festlegen
4) Lange Putts 12, 15, 18 m Putt Übung

a) Länge der Ausholbewegung variabel
b) Energiemenge der Vorwärtsbewegung sollte konstant bleiben

Chipping-Abschnitt

  • Grundlegende Chip Shot "Hinge & Hold" Methode

1) Handgelenke beim Rückschwung sofort abwinkeln
2) Halten / beschleunigen beim
Durchschwingen
3) Schwingen

1) Erste Methode

a) Schläger öffnen und Loft hinzufügen
b) Offene Haltung, bis die Schlagfläche
auf das Ziel gerichtet ist
c) dann umgreifen

2) Zweite Methode

a) Gewicht nach vorne bringen
b) Legen
e) dann umgreifen

3) Dritte Methode

a) Schlagen Sie fett wie ein Bunkerschlag
b) Offene Schlagfläche
c) Schläger s
teiler hinter den Ball treffen
d) Legen
Sie den Ball weiter nach vorne
e) Gewicht vorne

f) Verwenden Sie mehr Kraft in Ihrem Schwung

  • "Hinge & Hold" und Lob Shot - Fehler und Heilmittel

1) Schlagfläche nicht offen genug
2) Schneiden Sie sen Ball nicht an

3) Halten Sie die Hände vor dem Schläger

  • Niedrig laufende Schläge

1) Schlagfläche weniger Loft
2) Ändere
Ball Position zurück, um Loft zu erhöhen

  • Putting vom Fairway

1) Lesen Sie das Fairway nicht das Grün

  • Aus dem Rough spielen

1) Ball tief eingebettet

a) Verwenden Sie "Hinge & Hold"

a) Verwenden Sie "Hinge & Hold"
b) Schlagfläche
halb öffnen

3) Laufender Schuss

a) Der Schläger trifft den Boden hinter dem Ball
b) Platzieren
Sie den Ball weiter zurück
c) Gerades

Phil Mickleson Secrets Of The Short Game-Part 2

  • The Flop Shot

1) Use 60° wedge, open set-up
2) Put weight forward when lie is tight
3) Opern club head and aim face at target
4) Weight has to be foreward
5) Drive club into ground behind ball
6)
Level weight out if lie is high or fluffy
!! The most critical of the lob shot is assessing the lie. Once we assess the lie we determine where our weight is going to be positioned. If it's a tight lie, our weight is foreward. If it's a fluffy lie, our weight is back.

  • Spinning Flop Shot

1) Weight foreward
2) Face lays flat
3) Open stance

  • General Bunker Play - The most critical element to bunker play is to continue your hands into the finish

1) Play ball off front heel.
2) Open club face
3) Then adjust body
4) Weight level, maybe slightly forward
5) Practice from 10 yards
6) Continue hands into the finish

  • Uphill Lies

1) Set weight back
2) Shallow out bottom of arc

  • Downhill Lies

1) Move weight foreward
2) Drive club underneath the ball
3) Move the ball fractionally forward

  • Uphill Buried Lie

1) "Stick" club into the ground
2) Keep leading with your hands

  • Downhill Buried Lie

1) Move weight foreward
2)
"Stick" club into the ground
3) Hands stay ahead of club

  • Long Bunker Shots

It's like a normal bunker shot just change from a LW to a lower loft like SW or PW
